That One Cliff

Writer's picture: Anna_UbanaAnna_Ubana

In grand canyons, they have uplifted Proterozoic and Paleozoic strata. Hundreds or maybe even thousands of cliffs are present there. They have this famous cliff called Vermilion Cliffs that just look magically unique.

There was another cliff, a basalt crescent 5km wide in South Africa, that looked majestically serene. It was called, Drakensberg Amphitheatre.

My personal favorite is the one in Ireland. It is called the Cliffs of Moher. It terrifies me and gives me a sense of peace in a chaotic way. It's complicated, I know. I do not expect anyone to understand it.

The thing that I am trying to say is we all have that one cliff that we would just want to jump off to whatever may happen. I have been jumping and jumping off to the cliff that I love but would not requite the passion I have for it. It ceaselessly breaks every bit and piece of me, and it seems like I forgot to stay still at the awing edge. Yet, despite the cracks and breaks I sustain, I feel nothing but unbounded admiration for it. It seems like I have so much feelings to give but cannot find the right things to accord it with.

May everyone find the right cliff to jump and fall with.
