Catching Fire Within

Poem #2 (8:22pm May 16 ,2020)

(People who betrayed me)

I opened up my threshold

Offered my poison and gold

The light and darkness within

That no one had ever seen

It was like touching fire

I know it, this will burn

The spark in electrifying wire

That is for sure I’ll mourn

But no regret has been made

For I mean every word I said

Locked in the memory of vain

I ain’t the one to blame

I bluntly showed you the mirror

In the future awaits its terror

The majestic dark temptation

The demon in its reflection

It was not a mistake nor apt

Only it’s just a veracity tap

Within thickness of the skull

To serve as your wake up call
